No Sir. I used to spend more than that. I spent about 350 on lights a year. 3 175 W MH mogul socket bulbs, Two 72" VHO lamps. Plus my electric bill in the FL weather is always over 200 bucks a month. With the AC on all year pretty much. Changed the lights and the bill is down to 180 now.

I was still a little skeptical about LED's so I figured why not add the T5's For the price I couldn't resist. The set up I was gonna go for would of been over 1,000 dollars. I still need to upgrade the pump and skimmer. It's 125 G tank with a 40 gallon sump. I was just worried that because of the low price they wouldn't be as good.

I think I might have to hang on to it. I don't trust my kids and wife. The wife turned the ac off one time we went outta town and then it got really hot and boiled my fish in the beginning. Also if the AC goes out it's nice to have it as a back up. The Chiller rarely runs now and that's nice....;D

    T5's didn't last long.

I guess 45 dollars per light you get what you pay for. I was gonna fix it but the cost of the repair is more than the light itself.
