    I just got my 48" Metal Halide 2x150 t5's 2x54 2 days ago, When can i start putting in hard corals? BTW its a 55 gallon reef,4 months old.

    Sounds like a sweet light fixture,you can ad whenever you like,providing the tank is done cycling,your water params are good,start them towards the bottom and move them up slowly over several days to acclimate to your new light(which are probably considerably brighter than fish stores lights)(even if they have halides,like most lps's,they are probably old bulbs as they seldom get replaced just because of there age.)Best of luck!!

    What are you parms? what other equipment do you have?(flow and skimmer?)
