i currently have 2 250 12k reeflux with LB after seeing some 20k 400w tanks i have a feeling that i want to have more blue and color, i currently have a few red sps colony that was red at the place that i got it from, with my 12k it is brown, i want something that could help bring the red out, i also have 2 T5 atinic on my current system.

    my options are

    2 x 20 k radium 400 watt with coralvue eballast
2x 20k raidum 250 (use my current ballast)
    2 x 20k xm 400
2 x 20k reeflux don't know how well since not that many people are using it yet.

anyone know a cheaper place that i could get these stuff?

You can try to find them used or there are places with them online.

tinnghe, SPS turning brown is more compicated than just light and spectrum..... Yes spectrum does affect the color of a SPS much of it involves parameters...
First and foremost elevated PO4, EVEN small amounts will brown out SPS!! Also NO3 is linked to browning of SPS.
Second and apparently unknown to many here, kH above 14 dkH will DEFINETLY help brown out SPS but also slow growth rate!!!!

I would monitor both before thinking it is just your lighting system. Get the best kits you can esp with the PO4... Look into Merck, D-D, or Hach, they have some nice LAB grade kits, pricey but much better than the API that doesn't tell you anything!!!

    Happy coloring up!!
