    hey guys, i went to my lfs and got some lights, (36" 78watt t5ho nova extreme actinic/10k) and i was wondering since it says high output if i could consider it comparable to a flourescent compact light with a little more watts. thnks,

    T5s are comparable to Metal Halides, honestly. They're pretty bombdiggity! Congrats on your purchase!

    T5 IS rapidly catching up with MH, as long as you have good INDIVIDUAL reflectors, good bulbs and proper cooling!

    Oh you might want to consider swapping out the Current stock bulbs!

    hmm, well nova extreme only has 1 reflector that goes around bothh bulbs.. but the bulbs are pretty close together so it shouldnt be to bad
