I've had my 10 gal set up for about over 7 months now and my 75 for about 3-4, I hate the aqua scape in my 10 and want to add to my 75, I found a lfs that has nice base rock, but it's been setting in their tanks for who knows how long, there isn't any growth at all on it, I don't want to mess up my systems when adding, should I dry them all out before adding? And for the 10 gal I want to toss all the rocks, but they all have growth, do I need to seed the new rock before I can toss the old live rock? The 75 is still new, but housing fish, the base rock in there is still seeding off LR,

I wouldnt dry them out completely. Remeber in the "live" rock term your talking about the bacteria content inside them not the amount of coralline or hitch hikers they come with. I would "cure" the rock before adding it just to ensure there are no undesireables in the rock itseld.

How would I cure the rock?
