new live rock, orange mold?

    Take a look at this, may be hard to tell from one bad pic but IRL it looks like bright orange mold... dunno if i should scrape it off.. it came on live rock i recently purchased from a lfs.

    also, it has hair like spikes coming from it the same color.. they are rlly small, and its not flat either.. nice and round..

    i kind of thought that.. (side note: it does have little indented circles all over it). but only reason i didnt think it was a sponge was because the rock was out of water for 30minutes and it has been 3 days with no sign of die off. it is under the rock where hardly any light is getting to it. hmm im not to worried

    Those small red "bubble things" kinda look like red valonia.
    Botryocladia skottsbergii.

    probably a sponge, they are often called natures survivors, they can live through a whole heck of alot
