I'm looking for a new light bulb. My Dad and I both agree that the Phoenix are burning brighter than when I first got them and I want a little more blue in the tank without having to add more T5's. I'm going to change the UVL Super Actinic to a ATI Blue Plus next time around. I was thinking about getting the Ushio 20K unless the Ushio 14K is more blue than the Phoenix 14K. I'm not concerned about decrease coral growth since I don't have much room for the corals to grow. Any suggestions?

I'm really happy with my 150w XM 15000K bulbs.

Since the Superactinics are more for feeding, I would keep the UVLs for SAs and adjust the MH bulbs to serve your tastes in color. I just think that UVLs are a better bulb than ATI or Giesemann.

If you are looking more blue I would tweek the T5s before tweeking the MH lamps.... Start first by swapping the UVL out for the Blue+ or Actinic+ by Giesemann....
Or if you want really blue swap them as well as the MH lamp.

How blue are you really thinking?

Maybe an 18K look since the Phoenix bulbs are pretty much a true 14K look.
