I just got a new anemone... This is my first ever, in the last 5 years ive always been to afraid. Tanks params are stable and have been over a year.

Anemone went in fine, I just placed him on the sand, and it seems he has already burried his foot.

Generally do they like higher flow? He seems to have settled in a rather high flow place, and Im wondering if I shouldnt move the powehead a bit or just leave it.

Hes still not fully open, only been in the tank like 30 hrs or so,

He open, but not as big as he was in the LFS

Also I know anemones sting, are these one of them? my PBT decided to swim and like nose dive it... ( he does this with my brain too, stupid fish) he was like stuned for a few seconds, and will no longer adventure to that side of the tank anymore. There are not visible marks on him though so I wasnt sure if this kinds stings.

Also whats the best to feed in everyones experience?

Well most anemone's have a personality of there own.. WHen i put mine in it moved about the tank untill it was happy.. So i would leave your power head where it is and it will move to where it's happy in my experance..

Also mine took about a week before it fully open'd, and when it did i was shocked cause i took it as a rescue becasue he was shutting down his 150gal.. and for him it open's only like 4-6inches.. Now look at my tank pic in signature and well its at least 10-12 inch across..

Stinging i would say most if all sting that is how they feed in the wild. they sting them and if the fish isn't strong enough become's dinner..

I hope someone else will chime in where i left off or have forgotten better info to share to you..

    Best of luck...

Salsalito25 is absolutely correct. Just leave it alone now; if it's not happy with the flow, it will move. May take a few days to fully acclimate itself to your lighting and water parameters. Congrats and good luck. :)

generally they seem to like low to moderate flow. However, they will move where they want, when they want, so, I'd let it do it's thing. Meaty foods are usually good, see what it likes. I mostly feed LTAs krill and other small shrimp. Also, small fish, silversides, etc...
