    Hi everyone.
I am relatively new to the marine scene having only owned a plug and play Boyu TL450 for a couple of years. I am now planning an upgrade to a sumped system and this will be the first time I have used this method.
    I am planning a 60"long x 24"high x 18" depth system using 'Riff System' ceramics.
I realised after subscribing to this website that most of the users are in the US but I guess I could use all the advice I can get and it'll be interesting to see how you guys do it at the other side of the big pond!

I would appreciate all the advice I can get as to what equipment to use.
I am thinking maybe Vertex Illumina SR1200 for lighting or Maxspect Razor (R420r) if it is up to the job.
Also considering Bubble Magus NAC 7 or Deltec SC1455 skimmer.
Not sure what return pump I need.

Anyway I will start new threads for all of my questions once I have done a bit of reading up on here.

    Thanks,
    Steve.

Welcome to 3reef. Being where you are at, I would also consider the Aqua Illumination Vega Color for your lighting choice. You should be able to light that tank with 3 of them. They are distributed by DD Aquarium solutions on your side of the pond.

Hey Scubado. I'm new to the forum also. I found your post because of the reference to RiffSystem. Saw it for the first time from a link on reef builders.com @ A perfect german reef aquarium vol.1 - YouTube of this awesome German Tank. Searching for the RiffSystem Ceramic however doesn't yield anything but either German or UK links. I'm definitely interested in this stuff and if you can send me a link of where you are buying it, maybe they'll ship to the US. I found this link that shows some of the Wall Backplates that they make: reefceramic backwallplates.

If in fact you've already acquired it, maybe you can describe your experiences with using the product?

    Cheers Mate.
