New member from SF Bay Area

Hi. I'm a new member from the SF Bay Area. I have had a 20 gallon reef tank running for over 10 years (closer to 15), and a 40 gallon fresh water for the same length of time. Just an African Tiger Fish in the fresh water tank. The reef tank has gone through a few occupants over the years - a single clown fish for several years, a single yellow tang for 5 years or so, etc. Coral wise, a couple of long polyp leather corals (one grew so large the head was bigger than a basketball before it stuck up out of the water and ended up with some kind of killer infection..?). Also star polyps, pulsing zenia, frogspawn, and a few otherer assorted soft corals and shrimp over the years. It's got a CPR refugium and separate CPR protein skimmer, with a Fluval for carbon. Lighting is Coralife with dual T5's.

The idea was to transfer all the corals into a 135 gallon tank which my son and I built a stand and light enclosure (8 VHO's with Icecap programmable electronic timers) for. The tank has a wet/dry which I intend to load with live rock, an Oceanclear filter, and is plumbed through the wall to a 100 gallon sump in the garage work room. The sump is has all the hardware built in to install a sand filter. I have protein skimmer, calcium reactor, reverse osmosis/deionization unit, etc. for it. Pretty much everything except a chiller. The project stalled years ago just at the point where it's just about ready to have water added, and I'm hoping this forum motivates me to get it up and running (my wife says she's going to bury me in it otherwise)...
