new member from south west fl

hey guys im the new guy around here. i just picked up a 55 gallon from craigslist for 20 bucks. it is a tall and long tank. im currently running a 10 gallon freshwater tank with a bala shark and 2 koi fish. i am going to set this tank up as a salt water tank. i was thinking about trying to pick up another 10 gallon tank to build it as a sump tank. any tips you guys can share? like what to use for a filter in the sump and what pump to use. i may not drill this tank since i dont know if it is tempered or not so i was going to use pvc and hide it some where in the tank behind rock or some thing. any tips are greatly appreciated. thanks.

im not planning coral as of right now. but maybe down the road after i read more into it.
