Hi all, i've just got into the hobby and am excited to start. I thought, hey you're never too young to get into a hobby you are interested in, so with my Dad, we are excited to one day have that amazing reef tank we've wanted for a long time. We are just going to start out slow though and gradually get there. We have already set up our 140g tank, got it running and have added around 45kgs of live rock. I think joining 3reef will really help me answer all the newbie questions that I will be posting.

Welcome to 3reef. You are jumping right in with a sizeable tank. What a good project for you both to do together.

Welcome, awesome undertaking you and your Dad have there!

Everyone will agree- do lots of research. Lots of ways to keep a Reef Tank.
Are you planniung any corals?- ya, I was't either!- HOwever- I now have 38 different species of corals in my 125.

Is your tank RR- = Reef Ready- means an overflow system for a sump?
Planniung a sump of some sort? I"d recommend using one.
And remember, you can build your own systems on some of this stuff and save lots of money.
Get to know other local Reefers in you area- it really pays off.

    Welcome and enjoy!
