    Greetings,
I'm new to 3reef. Located in Williamsville, NY (outside of Buffalo).
Currently have a 30 gallon reef tank which I'm restarting since I lost everything in the freak October storm that hit the area. No power for over a week - generator is next on the "to buy" list.

Tank is 30 gal. Has 2 X 55 watt PC lights (combination daylight/actinic), Bak Pak 2 skimmer, run 2 powerheads inside. Corals at this point include plate, mushroom leather, greem fuzzy shroom, frogspawn & green shroom. Fish include Coral Beauty, tomato clown, royal gramma & diamond goby.

    Welcome to 3Reef!!!

Sorry about your loss. For a 30g, consider a power inverter as opposed to a generator. It's MUCH cheaper.

    Hello and welcome to 3reef!
That is a terrible misfortune to have happen! I lost power once for 8 hours and was worried-for you being without power for over a week...I can't imagine
Well, glad you got your feet back on the ground again and all is well.
Sow us some pictures or a video of your tank and best of luck in the future with the tank!

I'm definitely getting a generator to take care of future power outages. Power inverter is a thought but with the generator I can keep the house warm, the beer cold & the reef alive.

Are you a fellow Parrothead as well(Jimmy Buffett) "FIN"atic! By your avatar, I would have to say yes...HAHA
Again welcome to 3reef...hopefully you don't have any more power outages, I know how brutal winters can be in the Buffalo area as I was born near Rochester, NY.
