    Hey all,
I recently purchased a brand new 36" Coralife Aqualight Pro off of craigslist. I am way more than happy with the fixture and so are my corals. However, i would like to upgrade the metal halide bulb. It comes with a 10000 k bulb which makes things pretty white even with the 2 65w compact f's. I'd like to go to a 14 or 20000k but there are soooo many different brands that i have no idea which one will work. I'm going to be a poor starving college student for another 8 months or so i have a limited budget at this time, but i also have a strong reef addiction:). Any suggestions on what brand to choose keeping both quality and budget in mind?

I just put a Phoenix 14k bulb in my fixture and couldn't be happier with it. Looks amazing.

There pretty reasonable too looks like. The only other cheap ones i can really find are oddysea and from everything i hear i should stay away from stuff that cheap.

I agree with the Phoenix 14k, it's a nice bulb and reasonable price.

I just replaced my 250 MH bulb with the Phoenix 14K - could not be happier.

I do not have any, but it sure looks like i have serious actinic supplementation.

Def. go with Pheonix 14K bulbs.

    Best for the price IMHO.
