New Monti frags w/Pics

Got 2 new Monti frags last night. I'm pretty sure they are both Leaf Plate Montipora. (Montipora capricornis) I was just curios as this is my first time with and SPS. Around the edge of the monti, there is a thin white line around the edges in some areas. Is this sign of growth or a little bit of die off? I just got these frags last night. I drip acclimated for 2 hours along with temp. acclimation. Thanks guys/gals

Green w/Purple Rim Monti??

 

It is usually a sign of new growth all mine always have it. And yes a pic will help nail it down.

What color did you get?

 

I got 2 small frags of orange and a small frag that is supposed to be green w/ purple rim. The fellow reefer I got it from had it toward the top of their tank with MH lighting so it looked more greenish/brown in their tank. We'll see if the color comes back soon ( I hope) It was a freebie though. I also got a Birdsnest, red shroom, or/grn zoas and a small freebie of what is supposed to be Green Stylophora but it's like 1/2" LOL. Pics will be up after all my lights come on!

Oh nice, I love both.

Mine always color up lower in the tank mid level.

Let me see if I can find a pic with the growth line.

its growth it will always have a ring around it unless it stops growing
