New Nevada saltwater hobbiest!!

Hello,
My name is Kathy, I bought a 55 gallon tank about 3 months ago. The couple that had the tank didn't want to deal with it anymore, I gladly took it over. It is saltwater of course, it originally had 10 fish but now I am down to six; one clownfish, two yellow tanks, one spotted cardinalfish, one talbot's damselfish and one bicolor angelfish. I also have inverts which I put in there 2 months ago, 8 scarlet reef crabs, 3 turbo snails, 7 cerinth snails and 8 electric blue hermit crabs. I also have three pieces of live rock in it as well. I am 3 months new and really enjoy this new hobby of mine. I would eventually like to turn it from a dead tank to a live tank with corals...someday. Anyways thanks for reading...

 

Congrats on the awesome deal on the tank!! Welcome to 3reef. I am also new to this site and am VERY happy with all the help and suggestions from everyone... If you have a questions don't hesitate to post and ask. I have had much help already..

 

Yes, it really was a great deal $100 and it was less than a year old with everything included!! I do have one friend that has a tank as well but it is great knowing I can post a question I have and get answers (which I have so many questions)!! Thanks Karen!

 

WOW!! Yes, that is a steal!! I bought two tanks with filtration and standard lights, one was a 55 gal the other 150 gal with stands for 800 bucks, but my other half had to drive like 8 hrs one way to get them. lol But, I was extremely happy!!! No problem!!
