The '09 Corvettes are one of the few cars I will call "super sexy". Those things are beautiful in my mind. The older ones look good, but man the newer ones are seeeexay. And as you said, they are rather pricey as well. If you want all the bells and whistles with it, that's 75k right there. That's fifteen of my car put in one :p

Look at the 09 ZR1 price tag, starts at like 105k, goes up to nearly 120k
the ZO6 is around 75ish I have a friend with an 07 doesnt really drive that much better to me, mine still runs a 13.2 sec 1/4 mile and it's 15 years old

they are with the base factory setup, factory rear end gears are a 2.53 unless you pay the 5k for the 3.07 posi rear end, which this one has, that extra accelleration puts you down the 1/4 alot faster, I was playing some yesterday and the 0-100 is fast enough that you can't pull yourself out of the back of the seat lol

Posi knocks off that much on a quarter time? Damn, quicker then I thought. You run it down a strip get to get a timeslip?

Any plans for the future or are you going to leave it as-is?

If I had to hazard a guess, I would imagine you could probably knock on the door of high 12's with the Z stock under good circumstances but 13-13.1/2 is probably much more realistic. Stock for stock it feels faster then the previous toys(E46 M3, '97 Supra Twin Turbo, '04 STi, '02 WRX). I can only imagine what a couple pounds of boost will feel like.

it's not the posi that adds the time as much as it is the quicker gear in the rear, 3.07 accelerates faster than a 2.53 by far, and my buddies that drag race go as high as like a 3.96 or even into the 4.xx gearings but I like to still be able to go down the highway below 2,000 rpm lol
There was a timeslip that came with the car, the dealer that I bought it from only deals in performance cars he runs most of them down tulsa international raceway's 1/4 mile strip
    think mine was like 13.2s @ 117

I'm not going to mod it any, really all I am going to do is change the tires since the rears were ran over pressured and put in a new cd-player since the aftermarket one in it doesn't worth worth a crap

really this car's best performance is on twisty track vs drag, yeah it's fast in a straight line but those big tires hold corners very well also

Tires on the front are 255/45-ZR17 and Rears are 285/40-ZR17

I feel you on the drag getting old...owned/built a couple 10-second streetcars and that was enough of that, mostly just road track these days.
Stocks on the Z are 245/19 front 275/19 rear, but that won't be sticking around long. The wheels on order are getting michelin pilot sport PS2's in 275 front 315 rear.

yeah bigger doesnt fit under the vette, I could go to an 18" wheel but then I'd have rubber bands strapped around them not to mention width, the way this thing is made any wider I'd have to start cutting fiberglass lol

Yeah, one of my favorite things about the 370 vs the 350 is how ridiculously large a tire you can stuff under it with zero complaint. Was looking at keeping it stock-ish, but thats gone out the window. Also have full coilovers, two piece rotors, exhaust, an intake kit and a couple other odds and ends on the way..

    +1

Am looking forward to the delivery of the '10 GTR here. For the price, can't beat the performance.
