I just got this new coral yesterday. LFS guy said it is an Octospawn, of the Frogspawn family. He said it gets most of what it needs from the water, ie Calcium, and that is the only additive neccessary. What I am trying to figure out is what to feed it or is it neccessary. I can't find alot of information on it on the net.
As always any advice on this would be appreciated.
    Thanks :)

Treat it like a frogspawn. I think it is called wall frogspawn sometimes. I think it will do OK with whatever you feed the rest of the tank.

never heard of an octospawn... but that def looks like a frogspawn to me!

they do get all their energy from light, however some mysis can be squirted into them and they will feed on it

Pretty cool looking. I have never heard of these guys.

If related to frogspawn, then no food is necessary. They might catch stray food floating when you feed your tank, but direct feeding, naw.
Of course, this is dependent on if your LFS was correct on his ID.

It looks exactly like my frogspawn. Same shape, color, and everything. Just like everyone else said, no feeding is necessary but they will take a squirt of mysis.
