    Hi

Im a reefkeeper from the sunny South Africa. Been in the marine hobby for over 16 years now. Started with Fish only tanks when i was around 10 years old, succesfully bred with fresh water fish before and after that aswell, including angels, geramis, siamese fighters etc.
Due to fish availbe to catch on our local coast line and lack of internet i only kept FO tanks till around 3 years ago. Started my first 120 tester tank on corals with a few softies, keyna trees, zoa's and pin cusions. A few months later someone gave me a green digi sps frag and I fell inlove with SPS from then on
my second 250 litre tank was setup mainly with sps and i got rid of all the softies except some mushrooms and zoa's. Now a year later Im setting up a decent tank after takign a 3 year learning curve on what to do and what not to do and finaly getting my sps growing skills ready

Got a 1mx1mx750mm tank that has a CLS and skinny overflow built in on a nice stand with marble tops around the stand,a real show tank where i can finaly hide all my extra wiring and pumps and have a show tank.
This tank is not gona be rushed and I have a proper plan in place on what i want to do
First i need to modify the stand to fit into my place, door frame is 760 wide and the stand is around 900 wide on its shortest side:furious3:

Next up will be the MH t5 Diy setup
The plumbing needs to be redone, the sump will be under the tank where it was outside before, aswell as decide to keep the CLS or close the hole, leaning towards keeping it
Get a decent skimmer to run with the current one, have a TS2 thats rated for 750 l running on my 250 l setup and want to get a octo blaster 5000
Finaly the cabinet redone and salt added around december.

Im planning to keep with the minimal liverock rule, and go for the bonsai scapign style in the cube, with liverock that im gona cycle in a drum from end of the month, goign to drill the rock and use pvc pipe to build a nice structure before it goes into the tank

And that is that in a nutshell

For those of you joining us that are new to the hobby - the best piece of advice you'll get around here as a saltwater newbie is 3Reef's slogan
    "Go slow, let it grow."
And for those experianced hobbyists joining us - it's still good advice :p

looks like you have a nice build coming up :)
    welcome to 3reef!

p.s. just widen the door frame instead of changing the stand ;)

Too true,my best advice ever was - Only bad things happens fast in this hobby

Im renting,i did consider it,also considered taking out the window frame. Decided i might need to remove it again too soon if i do take the sledge hammer and land lady kinda sees it
