    Hey all,

Today i stopped by my LFS and picked up a pair of clownfish. I'm really excited about them, one is a ocellaris and maroon hybrid and the other is a snowflake ocellaris. They're tank bred so i really hope they find my RBTA. anyone have any ideas of how to make that happen?

Those clowns are beauties! They will find the nem eventually or they don't. Mine acted like they had no idea there was a nem in the tank, then 4 months later I saw them cuddling up. I know some people try to chase the fish into the nem, or float them all together in a colander. I think this is mean and stressful. You might try feeding the tank right above the nem. They might discover it by accident. Or not. :)

congrats on the beautiful clowns! that's interesting on the maroon hybrid. It took my clowns about 4 months to find my nem but right before one went in, I did tape a picture of a nem in an anemone right next to the nem - I can't rule that out as a factor. It's worth a shot :)

People look at me like I'm crazy when I suggest taping a picture on the tank to show them. I haven't tried it, but have read several success stories about it.

You could try the happy Gilmore approach.... "the anemone is your home... Are you too good for your home?!?!"

Thanks everyone! I'm really excited about the mismatched pair. I would be really interested to see what their fry would look like if they mate. Hopefully they eventually find my nem.
