    I'll take some for you when I get home. I just used clamp lamps from amazon.

    do you think that they would be as good by them selves or with t5 or halides asisting them?

    Well I don't have a PAR meter but to the eye they look extremely bright, I would definitely need a few more bulbs for my tank if i wanted to go that route though.
    The biggest problem though would be getting the dusk/dawn effect b/c these bulbs aren't dimmable. I saw RapidLed just released some new bulbs, I don't know if they will be dimmable.
    I think t5 are a good option with these because of the colors you can achieve and the low heat of both units. Running halides would kinda defeat the purpose of these LEDs IMO.

    hey kss2801 how do these look by themselves?? so they still light up the tank pretty good w/o the t5's on??

    Yes they do, but i don't have enough of them to run them alone on my tank. I could get a video of them alone if you like. Let me know.
    The other thing about running them alone would be getting the dusk?dawn effect.
