The Phantom is very similar to the ReefBuilder's Photon 32... Both boast approximately 300W...
Both are controllable... Both are modular... ;)

The only PLUS that the Phantom 300W has is the customization of the LED lights, placement, color, etc. ;D

The MINUS of the Phantom is exactly what many have said, there is no local (US of A) support or repair...
Being that it is modular, fixing the units is relatively easy, however.

Regarding LEDAquaBuys.com, their comparable unit is the Ultimate Pro Light with Cree XPE which is upwards of $850...
Does anyone have the other units to do a comparison against? ::)

I am running a mixed soft and LPS and SPS tank...

    Phantom lights

I bought one of the 120W 2 channel lights which is identical to the 300 W but just fewer LEDs. I bought it with the intention of putting my own LED drivers in it to hook up to an Arduino reef controller. I bought it because it was so inexpensive ($76 + $56 shipping) and I figured if I messed it up or it didn't turn out right that I was not out a lot of money. This light has the remote control and a built-in programmable timer with sunrise sunset function. When I got the light I was shocked at how good the quality of the product is. Virtually every part of the light from the extruded aluminum to the bulb holders and lenses and LEDs themselves are first-rate. What really surprised me was the dimming ability of the drivers. If you look at the instructions that come with the light or even what is on most of the descriptions you see for them it makes it look like the dimmer can only be adjusted in 25% increments. The sunrise and sunset feature is completely seamless and not stepped like most of the built-in programmable dimmers have. It goes from 0% up to 100% in a very smooth and even fashion. I do not sell these lights or in any way profit from my assessment of them and I have tried to be as evenhanded as I can but to be honest, there's just not much fault to be found with them. My only criticism would be the instructions are not at all clear and there is probably more things that can be done with the programming then I am aware of. I know that these lights can be bought with three separate channels and I believe that the woman I talked to in China told me that they could be custom-made with four separate channels. I would have honestly been pleased if I had paid twice the amount that I did. It would have made it much more sense to buy several of the lights as shipping was only about $14 additional for each additional light purchased. However, I did not know the quality I was getting at the time and did not want to gamble on an unknown Chinese made light. I'd be happy to answer anybody's questions about anything to do with the lights that I may not have touched on.
