I forget the proper name for this I think it is a green Polyp? But it waves around nice and notice the bluish green item groing on the rock in the coral. I am not sure what it is.

great pics. sweet tank karma to ya.

the blue thing is a type of blue sponge i believe. and if im not mistaken they can release a toxin when it dies.

you got plenty of green on your rocks, hows your phos level. and how long are your lights on for, had the same problem but got rid of the algae by improving water quality and changing filter pads more often. not to mention a timer for my lights.

Yea I had a really bad algae bloom two weeks ago due to leaving the lights on way to long. (just could not get enough of the fishes). for a week a cut the light back to 5 hours and that did most of the trick. I am slowly increasing the lighting time. All chem levels are great. Thanks for the positive reply.

The fish on the third pic looks like a Seaweed Blenny. I just caught one on Friday and let it go today. The one that I caught looked just like that. I let it go b/c they're known to nip at stony corals. Luna

You know Luna it just might be. It was purchased from a LFS who had it listed as a Lawnmower Blenny. He was darker in color when I bought him but he has been trying to get rid of my algae problem like a champ and has turned a little green because of it. He is cool never the less. I do not plan on having any hard corals so I guess I'll be okay.

Could be, I've actually never heard of a Seaweed blenny, but I also haven't been reefing as long as Luna either =)
Either way, nice tank + karma.

Thanks guys it means a lot to me to get positive responses from people who have been in the hobby much longer than me. And as many others have said in the past us newbies owe a lot of our success in this hobby to our fellow 3reef.com members.
