    WoW!

The tank looks amazing and love how you managed to fit lights considering there isn't much space

The skimmer is going nuts!! It's actually overflowing from the top with the valve opened all the way. I'm assuming this is part of the break in process. The instructions said it may take a few days. I'll give it a few days and see what happens.

Just keep the skimmer going and adjust as necessary. I have the sc303 and it looks very similar, took a week to get dialed in. Tank is looking great

I probably should have cleaned it before I installed it but didn't. I'm sure that would have helped.

I don't think cleaning it would have made much difference, would still have a break-in period imo

Here's a better picture of the Eagle Eye zoas. They opened nicely.

Interestingly, while my skimmer continues to go nuts during its break in period. I placed a paper towel on the top to stop the small splashes from the bubbles coming through. After an hour or two, the paper towel has absorbed quite a bit or organic material and has turned a lovely brown/green color. I guess it's better than nothing right now.

Here are my most recent test results. Only test I feel I need still is a Mg.

    Ph - 8.0
    Alk/dkh - 8.0
    Calcium - 465ppm
    Phosphate - 3ppm
    Nitrates - 75ppm
    Temp - 77.4

Clearly the phosphates and nitrates are off the charts. The nitrates have come down a bit after a water change. My skimmer has seemed to have settled down a bit too and actually pulled some very wet skimate out last night. As the skimmer does its job, I hope to see the Phosphate and nitrates come down significantly. Corals and fish seem fine though. Still don't have any hard corals, I want to wait until I get my parameters better controlled. I'm looking to keep this tank fairly simple. There is a bag of ChemiPure Blue in the sump. I did buy some ROX carbon from BRS, I may run it in the sock with a filter bag or see if I still have an old reactor from BRS I used to use. No ferric oxide right now as you can tell.

Tank has come a long way so far. Finally happy with it, although need to fill it out with more corals, as always.
