    Just got a psk75 hob for my 55 gallon. I have to say WHAT A DIFFERENCE! My tank is looking so much clearer and the red slime I had going on is disappearing as well. Initially I had some problems with overflowing but I kept fidgeting with the water level adjuster and I think that's straight now. I can't believe the crap that's been showing up in the collection cup the past few days. I strongly recommend getting one!

    A benefit, yes. A "must"? No. All it takes is to take a look at a lot of European setups and you find out quickly that successful reefs can be run without a skimmer.
