New puffer :)

oh very cool, i love the face of the dog face. what are you giving him to wear down his teeth? my gsp has been a very picky eater and only eats frozen bloodworms and live crickets, i cant get him to eat snails of any kind *might be a good thing though*

 

well we tried feeding him tonight when we fed everything else, just some silversides but didn't seem to be hungry. probably going to try mussels or snails to start out. how do you feed yours? do you just put the stuff near where he is usually kicking it?

 

May take him some time to eat. I know it took forever to find something that mine would eat. And as far as placing food in the tank, I just plop it in and he goes right to it

 

yeah i was actually kind of glad to read that you should try the shellfish. will hopefully help so he doesn't have to compete so much with the lionfish for food. as it is i think my boyfriend and i will have to tag team feedings on opposite ends of the tank.

 

yea that will probably be the best approach. mine is lucky that he doesnt have to fight for food, especially since he's a pig

I know, and I love that picture of him, caught him just as he was peeking out. He amazes me every day with how friendly and social he is. We'd like to try and start hand feeding him, but he still seems a bit sketch about it. Also a little worried about that beak of his, haha!
