New puppy pictures, messing with my cam need input on the settings please

    Just because i was messing with my camera i wanted to snap a few and share of my other pets.

    First one is Bella (no not cause i have watched that movie)

    What do you think of my camera skills? should i change any of the settings?

    Thank you bella is a pembroke corgi, and ninja is a pug/cocker spaniel

    thought it was something like that the ears are too big for a pug and the snout is too long. extremely cute though!

    nice adds. lol awesome pups:) i think you did fine with those pics. i don't like the look of flash but with puppies theres no way around it. slower shutter speed wouldn't work.

    thank you what does slower shutter speeds do? i was thinking that i need a external flash instead of the one that is built in?

    when you slow the shutter speed the shutter stays open longer which lets in more ambient light, so you don't have to use a flash. BUT, with slow shutter speed the target has to be VERY still and the camera has to be on a tripod. its usually used for night shots of building as and stuff.

    okay thanks for the info, would a flash that slides on the top give it more of a natural look?

    I love the pups. Makes me want one again. Your camera settings look fine to me.

    The problem with a flash is that you can't white balance, and have to use auto.
