Farley is getting along with Badger, now that Farley knows Badger won't usually try to bite at him. When Badger goes on a puppy rant, well, all bets are off.

It's more Badger simply learning that other dogs are not play toys, especially ones that are almost 9 for the brittany, nearly 13 for the lab.

Farley is doing very well for his age. He gets his deramax NSAID every morning and that really keeps him much more active than he might otherwise.

We wanted to get another lab so that Farley can rub all of his good traits onto Badger. We talked about it for months, then we found the ad for Badger and got pick of the litter by chance. Badgers dad is a big blocky headed english style lab that is about 90 lbs. Farley is 86 lbs. The mom is pretty big as well, so I assume badger will be around 90 lbs too.

I weighed Badger today. He is nearly 16.5 lbs now. Once he starts not wanting to chew on everything, I will take him in my ski boat.

Here is farley in my ski nautique.

He loves biting at the spray from the back of the boat. The only issue I have with farley in the boat is that he won't let me ski or wakeboard or tube while he is in the boat. He thinks he needs to save me. So when I want to ski, I have to leave him at home.

    My little new family member

Soooo cute.... I just got a new puppy here in Spain (I rescued her) about 4 weeks ago. She is a mix of mmmmhhh ... maybe a dachshund and spitz but who knows and who cares. She is just adorable, already house broken with 4 months and after having had an english mastiff before, this is defininetely something very different. Since I travel a lot it just had to be a dog that I can take in the cabin on the plane with me.... plus I see all these suffering dogs here and a lot of them are taken by the locals to what they call "death-stations" where they are being euthanized. So, here is a pic of my baby:
of course she is already queen of the tank hahah

Farley is so adorable! He looks a lot younger than nearly 13 and looks like such a happy boy. That's a cute story about him wanting to save you if you ski. He loves his Dad!

So Badger is 10 weeks old Tomorrow. He is doing well, and I gave him his second booster shot today.

I had him at the AMA superbike races at road America and he was very well behaved. he got used to the loud motorcycles pretty easily.
He starts his 8 week puppy training course on Thursday night.

It's been a while since I posted anything about Badger.

He just turned 12 weeks old on Tuesday. He is now 25.5 lbs. Man is he going to be a big boy. He is a serious chow hound. He likes to retrieve for me already, but I don't get more than 5-10 retrieves from him at a time. He will grow into that too.

We have had him in puppy obedience classes and his 2nd class is tonight. He is doing very well and will be about 6 months old for our Annual WRS summer BBQ.

This week, Badger went actually swimming in a body of water that made him float, and not simply the kiddie pool we have for the dogs. He loves his kiddie pool, and sticks his whole head under the water to look for toys. Actually badger's first non feet touching bottom swim was retrieving a fairly large stick during this swim.
