I know I ask this question a lot.... but:
Do u use buffers? For example, pH buffers will raise your alkalinity and sudden changes will really take a toll on your live stock if not corrected.

I had this issue once and even though I did not have any nems, my corals really didn't like it. I lost several good pieces and it was all caused by my constant parameter chasing. Adding buffers, doing this or that.... in my own experience, this is the wrong way to go when you're still in the learning phase as I was.

The way I had to bring my alkalinity down... and I think it was right at the same levels u posted, was to add a few gallons of saltier water (i mixed mine to 1.027) and added it slowly during the day. Then I did several small water changes, 1 gallon at a time with plain ro water, until I completed 5 gallons. This brought my alkalinity down to 12dKH and I have been extremely careful from there on with what I'm dosing, the amount I'm dosing and whether I really need to dose it or not.
I'm currently only doing calcium and alkalinity (both from brs's posted recipes) and only to keep up with my tank demand. If u don't have many sps or Ca/Alk demand i would not dose these, since water changes will replenish the levels.

Just my experience... I'll look for the thread. Hope to find the section where this had happen to me.
