Been using API test kits, TRASH, after using this! So much easier and more accurate(I hope, but the precision with this is alot better than the API)!

Also got my new BRS total dosing kit! Basically gallon jugs that you fill and use to dose for ALK/MAG/CAL!

But here's my levels with no dosing

    kh 8.8
    mag 1400
    cal 420
    sal 1.025

I have 2 new clams and 5 new SPS which is why i bought all this! But levels look good???NO????Yes????

    thx

Just monitor your levels and see what happens. How often do you do your water changes and what type of salt are you using? I ask because I use reef crystals and do my water changes every week and I don't have to dose.

DITTO! I either do a 10%ish everyweek or a 15-20% every other when i get lazy! But lifting 10 gallons of water over your head ain't easy(I use airline tubing to transfer the water to minimize swings)

And i use reef crystals too!

i like the red sea pro test kits as well. i was using salifert in the past but prefer the red sea ones. i tested on sunday and then again 6 days later. by mag dropped by 120 and alk by 1.2 dkh and then made solutions for daily dosing. i didnt really notice a drop in cal and havent really had to dose for that yet. i do 5 gal water changes once a week and am using neo marine salt. it will all depend on what corals you are keeping if mainly a softy tank then no dosing prehaps but with sps and lps tanks dosing will be required. imo

thx, love the ease and accuracy of the red sea kit! Never used salifert, so not sure! But i bought the BRS total reef care package! NICE! For $35 got enough dosing for a LONG time i assume! Nice little system! Cal MAG and KH dosing in gallon jugs with little squirter things! Plus the reef dosing calculator on their site is nice! Wanna thank Sharoleb for getting me in the group buy! Prob saved an easy $50 doing that! Also got a couple years worth of RODI filters and resin!
