    Got a new skimmer guys, have a question for all the pros out there!

    I know that skimmers have break in period... But aren't the bubbles inside the skimmer column suppose to be micro? My slimmer is producing a very small amount of bubbles and they are all a half inch to quarter of an inch in size? Not seeing the fizz of the thousand microbibble I used to see in my old skimmer?
    Is this normal??

    No..let it "season".
    RO's need a decent time to "settle down" from our recent experience...Keep it running..RO water is not the culprit...

    I'm letting in run in a tank of freshwater over night to clean out the new stuff and then move into sump in the morning.... But I became worried when I saw only big bubbles... Thought maybe I put together wrong or something was out of whack???
    So when I put into saltwater sump tomorrow it will begin to produce small bubbles then???

    Yes it should be fine. Once in saltwater, it will produce more fine bubbles.

    It usually takes a few days for it to break in once you have it in saltwater. Good luck!
