New Reefer/Fish Aquarium Owner in Arkansas

I have an active 75 gallon tank with 90lbs LR and 70lbs LS bought used - it had been active for 2 years with no loss of fish. Included were several green striped mushrooms, sandsifter and brittle starfish, urchin, oscillaris clown, yellow tang, hippo tang, 2 damsels, sargent major, black/white damsel, and two others I am not sure of. I have several other things growing on the rocks but not sure what exactly all of it is.

It's not reef ready and no sump, just a tetra tec 300 and seaclone skimmer - I have read it is junk. I did already purchase two koralia 2's, that have made a big difference. Working on purchasing another HOT skimmer, as I am afraid of the overflow's used for sumps unless my mind can be changed. This has been up for two weeks with gread delight and look forward to all the new friends.

welcome to 3reef, if the tank runs fine without a sump then that is fine alot of us run them to add some additional water volume to help keep the tank stabilized as well as a place to keep all our ugly equipment running at

Welcome to 3-Reef I just saw a nice Deltec HOB skimmer somewhere here on the site advertised. 8)

 

Oh and don't be afraid of overflows I have been using them for years with great success. Besides a sump is defintely the way to go IMO8)
