ok so i made a new storage container with a nice valve on it so I can take out buckets of water. Have a new RO/DI setup comming tom. Wondering what I need to do to clean the container. Used some pvc cement on the valves so right now im running vinegar and water solution through it. to clean the pipes out. Its a 60G rubbermade container Black so no light can get to it and a top so nothing gets into it. Now I was planning on flushing it with some tap water first then dry it with a fan. and then adding rodi to it and seeing what the tds reads and maybe empty it again. Am I on the right track here or is there and easier way to do this ? Any info would be great

    Thanks;)

I would prob just wipe it down with a vinegar R/O water solution and let that be it.

no real need to clean it if it's food grade quality. just a rinse and you'll be fine.

yea my only worry was the pvc glue in the pipe that i put in there. wanted to make sure it cured well and then got a nice vinegar rinse

So basicly just should empty wipe down and fill basicly ?

I would love to see pics I storing my RO water in milk jugs right now and would love to upgrade to a diy holder.

And AZdesertrat I did get a RO unit since the las time we talked and have seen much better coral behavior

I was gonna o this with a 32 gal brute can. Can you tell me what type valve, etc you used to make the seal watertight... Did you use some type of bulkhead fitting? Can't find one at my local Lowes...unless I am looking in the wrong place.
