New RO water filter installed/ high phosphate

    You're not supposed to use the water that comes out of a brand new unit. Manufacturers vary on how many gallons you aren't supposed to use. The dust needs to be washed off the carbon and many RO membranes have protective coatings for shipping/storage. I would call the manufacturer and see what they recommend.

    Another possibility is that you're reading the wastewater on accident instead of the clean water output.

    hrmm could the plumber have hook the waste out to the RO tank?? :confused::eek:

    lol. it's certainly possible. It should be easy to locate the right hose
