Well went to lfs, lol this is funny I called them to see if they had a kole in and sure enough they did. Told them id be there soon, im bout 20 mins away from store. Ha get there and said hey called about the kole he was like a lady just came in 5 mins ago and got him. I was saddened by this but turned out to be better imo. We started talking over my tank and told him what I had. He suggested a very healthy and fat sailfin for the same price. I was like hells yes that fish is beautiful so bagged that bad boy up and hes havign fun in my tank. Hes a little shy but goign to town on my algea. I put some nori on a clip so when its moonlight time he should adjust and eat but hes picking food off rocks in lower part of the tang. God this fish is awesome and my clowns like him, there becoming more nice and swimming around the tank watching him. Heres a pic

I honestly question any lfs employee that would sell you a sailfin tang for a 65 gallon tank. these guys need a ton of room and i personally believe they are among the fastest growing tangs out there. Good luck with him, he's beautiful but plan on getting a larger tank like really soon.

its fine in the upper part of the tank. give him some time. good luck (always have food for him and you may want to invest in a uv sterilizer ) it helps with their health.

sweet GOOD DEAL THEN!!!!!!!!=) I just know that the mortality rates of tangs in this hobby would be much better if people were educated on them. They need lots of munchies, lots of flow too keep them exercising, and a ton of room to swim.

uv can help eliminate viral and bacterial infection. like you said they are very sensitive to infection. (will not stop all sickness but every lil bit helps) my marine bio professor at Southern Miss passed this info to me years ago hes a devoted reefer! ;D
