Well after moving my tank yet again, 2nd time in a week. I did a 20g water change on my 65 today with some new salt (red sea salt). Now I know everyones tank is different but after 1 hour I saw my corals were open alot more and just looked alot more healthy. I was using IORC, it was good but we will see as the month progresses for more noticeable progress. So if anyone wants to know about the red sea salt, to me so far its pretty decent.

well after using instant ocean salt for 8 years (for FO tank), and petco brand for 7 months for reef. Finally trying some Red Sea saltmix, was $5 off today at store. so $9.99 for 25g bag. It doesnt dissolve as fast as petco brand, but it should be an upgrade to that salt. will post results in a few days..

I use sera marin reef salt. I never have to dose and it disolves easily. For a smaller (46) tank like mine I can't see going cheap on the salt when a big bucket is going to last for a LONG time. Then again a big tank you're going to have alot of $ invested anyway so whats the big deal about spending a little more $ on salt. The only two I may ever use instead of the Sera would be brightwell or tropic marin.

Update on the salt, well its great and working dang well in my tank, 2 of my mushrooms that were prolly gonna die have fully done a 180 and look awesome, my new war coral i put in last week lost its color at first but is now back to normal and looking better than when I first got it, bout to do a 12g wc and take some more readings. I can trully say I will not be goign back to IORC for this tank anymore even though it was good, this red sea salt is great to me.
