New sand on top of old sand?

    Can I put new sand on top of old sand without major issues? I hate the finer sand that has been in this biocube 29 for about a year, I want to put a courser grained sand on top of it.

    Just get yourself some 1" tubing slightly longer than your tank's depth and a funnel. Place the tubing in the tank and slowly pour the new sand into the funnel while spreading it around evenly. Don't add more than 1/2" - 3/4".;)
