Just picked some of these guys up, he's a Formia (Genus) and is supposedly delicate but not as much so as linckias. Im not certain on the species (monilis perhaps) but i love the way it looks so i got a few for my FOWLR and a tiny one (1") for my nano-reef. Anyone here had one? I read up on em through google and some books but would like to hear personal accounts. Thanks.

now im pretty sure that that is the starfish, Fromia nodosa, or the elgant sea star, they r reef safe and grow to just about 3 in...the only problem is that their diet is kinda hard to supplement...they need algae, tiny inverts and the microorganisms that live with the algae...but otherwise i think it should be fine...BEST OF LUCK :)

So far two of them have accepted freez dried krill, and J. sprungs seaweed....they all seem to congragate by highflow areas with thier arms hanging in the current catching pods and what not. I just bought anotheer huge clump of feather algae to start my 2nd pod farm.
