New skimmer being annoying

    I just picked up a Coralife super skimmer 330000 for my 55. I can not get it to stop producing a large amount of bubbles into my tank. I've checked and checked again to make sure i set it up right and it all looks great. Its fuctioning just fine but produces a large amount of O2 bubbles into the tank. I bought it used and noticed it was not doing this in the previous tank. Anyone know why this is happening and what to do to help?

    Sorry forgot to mention it is mounted on the back of the tank not into a sump

    It is just breaking in. It will continue to produce a large number of microbubbles entering the tank until all the oils and coatings are off of the skimmer.

    you might have the return sponge in the water to far the top mine is suposed to be out of the water a quarter inch
