We are doing a upgrade from our 90g to a 125g reef ready, we are skimmer shopping and looking for some opinions. We will most likely have about 180 total gallons with the sump and refuge, we have been looking at the ASM-G3, the octopus extreme 200 and the G II Vertex 250, does anybody have any experience with these. thank you for the your input.

I had a G3 on a 125 setup for a while and it worked great. it left a little to be desired tho, have you looked into SWC skimmers?

Look at the SWC Mins S cone, great skimmer choice for a tank that size....

The Extreme 200 will work for you. Mini S if you want a cone. The Vertex are really good for their price. Best bang for buck around. The G series are a bit out dated and IMHO are over rated.

Any Sicce 2500 skimmer will work for you, but I think 180g is it's limit.... but a 200 will do it and you will be set.
