New Skimmer on the way Reef Octopus POV DC1

Now for the Skimmer

Here are pics of the skimmer.......the cast acrylic is excellent; the DC motor is a lot heavier than I thought it would be. Love the large cup. I am missing 1 rubber "foot" it has 3 feet.

The other confusing part is the base has 10 threaded holes but they only give you 6screws and that matches what they say in the very poor instructions that do not tell you what holes to put them in.

Overall the build is excellent just little things, (missing foot, poor instructions for assembly)

I will not have time to install this on the tank until this weekend; I will however do a video for that part of the review.

But so far I am very impressed!

Forgot these....you can see a little better how the pump sits in the bottom pump cup and the intake is on the bottom of the base.

 

I want to know how it skims! Not sold on the dc pump over bubble blaster yet
