So I have battled with the Coral Life 300 for alomost a year, and to be honest enough is enough.

I am looking for a nice skimmer for my 480 Gallon (total size) fowlr system, although at some point it might end up being a reef tank.

    Currenlty

    1 - Emporer Angel
    1- Tomini Tang
    1 - Choc Tang
    1 - Yellow Tang
    1 - Regal Tang
    4 - Clowns
    1- 6 Line Wrasse
    1 - Diamond Goby
    1 - Coral Beauty
    1 - Firefish
    1 - Fighting Counch
    2 - Star fishes
Couple of hundred snails and crabs

    400 Lbs live rock

Any advice / Suggestions, dont want to spend more that 800-1000 $

So this is a old photo, i have added 200+ Lbs of live rock since then, and another ship :)

Also home to a Vincentini Puffer, known as wheezy

I will add some more photos when i move the rocks and complete the boxing in.

    Tank is 72x36x36

I have a half size one as well, where my Tomini Tang, coral beauty and their mate wheezy live, they are the kings of their domain.
My Emporer lives in the big one with choclate and yellow tang and 6 line wrasse, Dori lives in the rocks with the goby and the clowns tend to chill at the back on their own.

Having owned several different brands and models over the years I finally decided to bite the cost bullet and try Bubble King. Now would not own anything else as they are almost foolproof. Water level can fluctuate quite a bit and you can easily clean it without shutting it off in less than 5 minutes. The 'you get what you pay for' adage certainly applies here but IMO worth it.

never heard anything bad about BubbleKing. If you can't afford a BK get a SRO-2000 or 3000 I love mine.

So what bubble king would you recommend ?
I'm not overly against spending some money, I bought the coral life unit, which was a utter waste of money, so if I'm going to buy one, I would rather pay more and get something decent.
