    (Seriously, bigger body, bigger pump.)

OH ya.... and I'm real glad you are getting a sump Saprky. I tried to see how to convert my MegaFlow, but just got a tank instead.

What is the exact foot print of that bad boy? What is the diameter of the circular base?

If I were religious I'd be struck down already due to my extreme jealousy.

These skimmers always give giant footprint dimensions (like 13"x17" for a 8"diameter skimmer and a pump on the side).

What is the REAL minimum footprint I wonder. I only have 8.5"x16" to work with, I wonder if one of these type skimmers would fit?

Oh and congrats on the cool new toy!!!

The circular base is 8". The pump protrudes approximately 5" given the coupling and the width of the motor. About 45 degrees away is the outlet, which protrudes almost as much as the pump does.

All told, the footprint is difficult to convey given the circular base, the pump, and the outlet. Plan on at least 9 by 12.

    See above.

BTW, very soon I'll have a build thread entitled, "Skimmer, Sump, And Pump Rebuild." Watch for it at a 3reef near you!
