    Did you get a lot of micro bubbles during the break in period?

    Yeah you will get a lot of micro bubbles when you are breaking in a skimmer. If you break it in with vinegar it goes by a lot faster.

    You just do a like a 3 part water 1 part vinegar solution run it in there for awhile and it normally cuts the break down period in half if not more. You are suppose to do it when it is brand new or when it has been setting for awhile not doing anything.

    Cut the pump tube so the pumps sit as close to the top of the water as you can. I have mine sitten 1 1/2 inch below the water. It skims much better . I have the 220 on my 40 gallon breeder.
