lol. Nice to see they are replacing it for you. I didn't have this problem when I ordered mine from Marine Depot, but maybe yours specifically was a dud.

I have a black background with mine and it blends in quite nice, barely noticeable in comparison to other equipment in a tank.

I noticed you have yours really low, how is that working out for you? Mine has been running for a little less than a month now and I still have microbubbles. The manual says the optimal position is the midpoint of that vent, but I run mine a bit higher.

Is yours still spitting out any microbubbles?

yeah need to mod the tank

it is! My tank has that lip on it so it just fits better that way, but when the new one comes i'm gonna cut the lip so it will slide back farther!

Have either of you thought about running some silicon down the front insert to make it a little more secure?

The one that slides up and the pump is connected too?

I haven't thought about it. Where would you put the silicone?

    PM replied.

Yes, that one. Cosmo wanted to run the silicone on either side of that side to prevent water from coming in the seams.

    I would not suggest it.

ok, got the new one today and as the instructions said the motor and mount were already connected like the instructions said they should be! The previous one was completely seperated! This one is not having any of the issues the other one had and is running like a champ! After seeing the skimmate the last one was making after many adjustments, i'm pretty pumped about this thing working great! Not having the micro bubble issues i had with the last one!

Ahh, my motor came already assembled too, glad it solved your issue. Maybe I should contact Hydor about the microbubbles, see if they have any advice for mine!
