I just purchased a coral, which looks like a mashroom lavender coral (maybe?). I didn't get an exact name at the store, was told that it looks like something "Latin". While most of the 'shrooms on the rock look good, at home I noticed that some have something white on them. Could anyone tell by looking at the pick if this coral looks ok (maybe just grabbed some sand and rocks when it closed up) or if it's a sick one?
Thanks, and sorry I couldn't get a more clear pic, I'll keep trying though.

Very difficult to tell with a blurry pic. I would give it time to acclimate to your tank about a week before worrying about it.

Looks like some type of Rhodactis mushrooms. They don't look happy, but if you've just added them to the tank that's to be expected...it can take several hours to several days for them to fully acclimate to your tank. They don't look like they are dieing IMO, just typical behavior when being moved from one tank to another.

It's common in Russian, a alternative to Anna really :) The coral is new, I'm still acclimating it, so I can see why they're closed up. it's just that one of them looks odd, different from others.

From now on you might want to find out what kind of coral you are buying. Otherwise how could you possibly know how to take care of it?
