Yeah, personally I like the purple color. My coraline grows in irregular shapes and are much less dense and colorful. Your patches look thicker. Mine is kind of blotchy and not nearly that deep in color.

How old if your aquarium? I had almost no growth for a long time and after I upped by CA to around 450 the growth exploded. I no longer have to dose CA since my salt-mix is around 500 but still dose alk a few times a week.

I like the Red Planets color under my light I think it looks like a brick red color which is what I was going for.

Lights have been overhead for 8 months. It's growing a lot on my glass, it's just not as thick or colorful and doesn't have those white-leading (growth) edges. I think it may be a different variety of coraline.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
The RP looks good where it's at.

It's a tad pale so give it some time to color up and it will begin to show more PE.

Xenia has never really been that troublesome to my sps, I would not let it crowed the coral or over take the base but an occasional brush by should be ok.

You're right it is a nice big piece.

Thanks for the advice. My main worry was the xenia overcrowding and shadowing the sps so I will trim accordingly, just wanted to make sure it wouldnt attach to the sps like it was a piece of rock.

I didnt think it looks pale but I have never seen a RP in person before these to compare too. Would it be because of stress, acclimation etc?

I would not worry about it, sps can go through varying degrees of coloration depending on lighting, available nutrients and it may just be the images.

My pieces had been an array of colors, right now it's red with white base. The frags at the bottom of the tank are green and red.
