Im over in Groton, but good to know though. I have a good LFS in town that has everything for salt and freshwater aquariums. They grow and frag theyre corals and have much better selections than any petco and sell filtered and premixed water. Plus theyve got a couple people very knowledgable in saltwater. Whats nice is there is a petco and petsmart and pet supply place for the odds and ends equipment which saves some money.

Cool, I agree I usually stick with the privately owned LFS' for stock and use the chain ones for supplies & stuff.

Here's a cool link in case you hadn't seen this, it's where all CT stores are listed and some offer discounts: Connecticut Fish Stores - CT

    How's the Cardinal doing?

So the cardinals doing well. Cause I cant really sex it my girlfriend named it Charlie because it can go both ways I guess. Anyway it had no problem eating this morning. I was a little nervous there was too much flow in the tank for it because I read they like medium to low flow and I wasnt really sure where 1500gph fit in. But it seems to be fine and not really struggling. It'll swim into the current for a little while then chill out of the current around the rocks. So I gave it some frozen meysis shrimp, which is what the store feeds them. I want to add something more nutritional soon, what does anyone else with a Bangii feed them?

If it's like mine, it'll stay in the middle to bottom area of the aquarium (medium flow area), and only to go the top during feeding...however, powerhead's are off then, so flow is minimal. Mine is not the most active swimmer, but he will make his way from one side to the other numerous times throughout the day. Congrats on your first fish!

Great choice, I have one as well. The only problem is he nips at any and all blastos, acans and candy cane. I'll either be required to move him to another tank, or sell him.
