i was cruising CL and found an advert for $10 corals. i clicked and saw pics of chalices and sun corals and other stuff that i didn't think would be selling for 10 bucks so i emailed the guy and asked for specific prices on a few pieces. he said they were all $10. i figured it was worth th 30 minute drive and sure enough, he's got a separate frag tank that says everything $9.99. there were lots of zoas and mushrooms but way more "good stuff" than i was expecting. i had to limit myself to 50 bucks so i walked out with these.

anyone who's near Norridge, IL should check them out (Coral Reef Pet Center). they got birds and stuffs too!

the colors are a bit off. i had to play with the white balance on my camera so the Phoenix 14k wasn't washing them out. the chalices are awesome.

also, i thought number four was just a favia but the more i look at it i'm not certain. the walls look too irregular. what do you think

I thought it was favia too because it looks a lot like mine. I'm sure if we are wrong someone on here will correct us!

I don't know if it's a favia, but it looks to be a faviid for sure. It looks like it may be a favia maxima or favia speciosa.

Grats on those pickups, seems like a pretty sweet deal to me!

that's a pretty good eye you got there. all my favias have been more uniform and crowded but the favia speciosa looks dead on.

oh yeah, i've seen people asking 10 buck a head for sun corals, this guy has 6 1/2 and i got it for 10. it's pretty close to you, you should definitely go pay them a visit
