OK, got everything up and running this morning. Water flows out of main tank and into left side flowing through the media I kept from my canister filter. Wanted to use this to jump start bactiria growth. Down through media and into skimmer. Out of skimmer and into refuge. Refug has few inches of Biosediment raised 2" to allow water to seep through. Water (top and bottom) move right and under dam. Then up through floss filter. then over dam and down through carbon and De-Nitrate which are side by side. Under next dam and into return pump. On the way back it splits and half goes through chiller and the other through UV light. The only issued I had was the Skimmer (Coralife) would not suck air since I had it so deep in the water so I put an air pump on it and now its working.

I hope this will help keep my peramiters in check. I was also advised that my water flow was to low so I got a Wake2K and put it in last week. It moves plenty of water I just think 2 would work better in a 100 gal tank. I still had dead spots and had to put a power head back in.

If anyone has a suggestion on my design feel free to let me have it. I am still in the learning phase.

Looks great to me!! All this talk about sumps, makes me want to get mine going, lol. I just need to do it. Do you have any full tank shots?? I just got my 100 going, and would like to see what you did with your over the last few years.

My only concern would be if the skimmer stopped pumping.
Will the water continue to flow to the fuge area and to the return pump without it?
Other than that it looks fine to me :)

Yes it would. I made the two refuge dams a little shorter so the water will flow across the top if the skimmer goes down. I am going to move some rock around today then post some pics.

    Nice job and beautiful tank!
I have a wave2k as well though I haven't set it up yet! I am installing it on my 125 reef...was it hard to set-up? I don't know if i want the wave2k in the back like you have it or on the right side of my tank as the left side has a refugium pumping into the tank and the glass is covered with Xenia!

It is easy to set up. The only issue I had was the description claimed it only needed 4 1/2" of clearance but it needs at least 5". Now I have a hole in the drywall. Oh well. I wanted to put it on the side also but it wont work with my canopy and it will look goofy with a big motor hanging off the side of the tank. Out of sight out of mind. After yours is set up be sure to watch if the big pully moves up and down. If so just tighten the white screws on the top and it will stop and get quieter. Just dont go to tight or it will stop turning.
